RANK 10: 300, RISE OF AN EMPIRE






















300: Rise of an Empire is a 2014 American fantasy war film directed by Noam Murro. It is a follow-up to the 2007 film 300, taking place before, during, and after the events of that and based on the Battle of Salamis.It is based on the as-yet-unreleased Frank Miller graphic novel Xerxes. Zack Snyder, who directed and co-wrote the original film, acts as writer and producer on Rise of an Empire.

The cast includes Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, David Wenham, Andrew Tiernan, Andrew Pleavin and Peter Mensah reprising their roles from the first film, alongside Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Hans Matheson, Callan Mulvey, and Jack O'Connell. The composer for the film is Junkie XL.

The film received mixed reviews and was a box office success, grossing over $328 million worldwide.

RANK 09: NOAH







Noah is a 2014 American epic biblically-inspired film directed by Darren Aronofsky, written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel, and based on the story of Noah's Ark.The film stars Russell Crowe as Noah along with Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins, and Douglas Booth. It was released in North American theaters on March 28, 2014 in 2-D and IMAX while several countries will also release a version of the film converted to 3-D and IMAX 3D.

RANK 05: GODZILLA



















Godzilla is an upcoming American science fiction monster film featuring the Japanese film monster of the same name in a reboot of the Godzilla film franchise. The film retells the origin of Godzilla in contemporary times as a "terrifying force of nature" in a style faithful to the Toho series of Godzilla films. The film is directed by British filmmaker Gareth Edwards, written by Max Borenstein and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.

The film is a co-production between Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, the latter of which will also distribute the film worldwide, except in Japan where it will be distributed by Toho.It is the second Godzilla film to be fully filmed by an American studio, the first having been the 1998 Godzilla. The film is scheduled to be released in US May 16, 2014 and Japan July 25, 2014 in 2D and 3D.

RANK 01: TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION




Transformers: Age of Extinction is an upcoming 2014 American science fiction action film based on the Transformers franchise. It is the fourth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and stars Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. A sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the film takes place four years after the invasion of Chicago. Like its predecessors, the film is directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. The screenplay is written by Ehren Kruger, who served as screenwriter since Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This is the first film in the series to feature an entirely new cast and the first to feature the Dinobots. Returning Transformers include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Ratchet. The film is set for release on June 27, 2014, in IMAX and 3D.
